Get Involved

Max showed up for others every day. Here's how you can do the same.

You don't need to make a big donation to make a big difference. The Max Soti Memorial Scholarship runs on the time, energy, and heart of community members who believe in honoring Max's legacy. Here's how you can help.

Volunteer

Our events depend entirely on volunteers. No special skills are needed—just a willingness to show up.

  • #56 Memorial Ride (June): Help with setup, registration, food service, rider coordination, and cleanup.
  • Summer Cookout (August): Grill crew, games coordinators, raffle table, and general event support.
  • Scholarship Review: Join the review committee to read and score student essays (a 2–3 hour commitment in early April).
  • Outreach & Setup: Help distribute flyers, hang banners, and set up at community locations ahead of events.

To sign up, email info@maxsotimemorialllc.us with the subject line "Volunteer" and we'll get you connected.

Partner With Us

We welcome partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups who share our commitment to supporting young people.

  • Event Sponsors: Sponsor the Memorial Ride or Summer Cookout. Tiers start at $250 and include logo placement on event signage, social media recognition, and a shout-out at the event.
  • In-Kind Partners: Donate food, supplies, or raffle prizes for our events. We'll recognize your business at the event and online.
  • Venue & Facility Support: If you have access to event space, equipment, or services that could support our events, we'd love to hear from you.
  • Schools & Guidance Counselors: Help us reach eligible students by distributing scholarship applications and posting announcements.

Contact info@maxsotimemorialllc.us for our partnership and sponsorship packet.

Spread the Word

Not everyone can volunteer or donate—and that's okay. Sharing our story is one of the most impactful things you can do.

  • Share our event announcements and scholarship deadlines on social media
  • Tell a Plano High School senior about the scholarship (applications open each January)
  • Display a flyer at your workplace, gym, barbershop, or community board
  • Talk to friends and family about Max's story and the scholarship's mission
  • Encourage your employer to explore matching gift programs

Word of mouth is how most of our supporters first hear about us. Your recommendation matters more than you think.

"I got involved because a friend told me about Max's story. Once you hear it, you want to help. It's as simple as that."
